Key Account Manager (Pharmaceuticals) Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in the DRC is actively sourcing for a Key Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will develop close collaboration with existing customers, and also expand the company's client portfolio. The latter must have a better understanding of the needs and purchasing cycles of hospital structures and thus offer pharmaceutical product solutions. Job summary: Responsible for the successful implementation of the sales strategy to achieve the company's overall sales target. Collaborate with the sales team to achieve maximum growth and profitability, in line with the company's vision and values. Execute action plans to grow the customer base and contribute to the development of training and programs for the sales team. Responsibility of the position: • Achieve periodic sales targets (monthly, quarterly, yearly) for assigned territories. • Guide, train and help the sales team achieve their own goals. • Supervise and control the daily activities of the sales team and the distribution of samples/gifts. • Decide and distribute expensive promotional gifts to doctors and pharmacies • Plan and oversee sales promotion activities, ensuring maximum return on investment. • Plan and manage CMEs and other promotional events • Prepare reports on sales performance of the company and the sales team and submit them periodically to the Country Manager. • Identify and meet the KOLs, the best doctors and the best pharmacies to engage them and retain them in the company. • Develop the hospital segment business by meeting and building relationships with purchasing managers. • Maintain a healthy relationship with customers and the team on behalf of the company. • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and report to Country Manager. • Lead data collection and market information activities • Resolve customer and team complaints in consultation with management. • Follow directions given by senior management and senior management to achieve overall sales and marketing objectives. Job Qualifications and Requirements: • Bachelor's or master’s degree in pharmacy with 6 to 9 years of experience in the sale of pharmaceutical products [Rx/OTC] and at least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Sales Manager in a pharmaceutical company. • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business and market dynamics and requirements. • Experience in key account management (B2B sales) will be an added advantage. • Knowledge of government procurement (tenders, etc.) will be an added advantage. • Extensive experience in all aspects of customer relationship management. • Willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals. • Team spirit and good collaborator • Excellent communication, negotiation and public relations skills • Proficiency in French and English languages. • Good business sense and professional attitude • Good knowledge of MS Office and the Internet
